“Gardeners know the best dirt.”

— Anonymous

An experienced gardener knows that the beauty of a landscape is more about what you can’t see than what you can. Put another way, a lush garden doesn’t happen without the right soil and a healthy ecosystem.

Systems

“In relatedness there’s efficiency. And seeing relatedness expands the range of what’s possible. It’s the simple, smart, sustainable way through and forward.”
— Judy Vernick

Systems are the most natural way of organizing and seeing how things are related or not. Working or not. What’s missing? Harmonious? Noisy? Cluttered? We’ve belonged to relationship systems since birth—family, educational, professional, community, to name a few. A systems perspective helps us to work with change and recurring systemic issues.

Simple, Smart, Sustainable™

“Awareness matters because your focus becomes your reality.”
— Judy Vernick

Like a beautiful garden or forest, healthy systems seek to communicate, repair and restore themselves. Relationship systems remind us that we’re not alone, they help us to feel safe and that we belong to something bigger. And, when nourished, they are the right soil for sustaining a rich, productive and fulfilling way of being. Relationship Systems Coaching is simple, smart and sustainable.

  • Simple.  Essential and relevant.  Fundamental.  Necessary and sufficient.  Common truths stand out as the place for focus and engagement.  With that awareness, the path to appreciation and alignment becomes clear.  The elegant solution is the simple one.
  • Smart.  Competence in using collective smarts—intellectual, emotional, social and the intelligence of your relationship system—and leveraging them to make the next move.
  • Sustainable.   Having the capacity to use change in innovative and transformative ways.  Being open to diversity is fundamental to our ability to learn, evolve and continue to expand our range of possibility.  Sustainable systems are naturally resilient and possess an energy that can integrate the old with the new for the sake of something better.

Quantum Leap Coaching helps you to plant the seeds for right relationship and customizes your toolkit for sustainability to keep your relationship system vital and viable.

Quantum Leap Coaching “Cs”

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.”
— Anais Nin

Here are the five integral components of the Quantum Leap Coaching System. As a system, they’re all related and renewable energy sources that can sustain your ability to lead and innovate. Quantum Leap Coaching puts the choice in your hands to unlock their potential in your system.

  • Change.  It’s a given.  So how can we become smarter at putting this energy source to use?  Leaders and innovators routinely do it by challenging the status quo, and seeking the new and different, something better.  If you can change it, you can sustain it.
  • Conflict.  As the midwife of change, conflict signals that something wants to shift.  It’s data.  While usually given a bad rap, conflict is a direct conduit to what’s not working. And when used productively, it’s an opportune starting place for restorative conversation and moving toward alignment.
  • Conversation.  Beyond the words, conversation is about listening.  What really wants to be heard and understood?  This energy freshens the air, helps us see things differently, and offers a road to right relationship.
  • Choice.  Conversation brings us to choice.  We get to choose how we want to show up.  Lived experience continually shapes our choices and decisions.  When we choose purposefully and with intention, we commit to move over edges, through conflict, and on to something better.
  • Courage.  Done?  Not quite.  Courage fuels the conscious choice to show up in the face of fear, risk or uncertainty.  Courage helps us to change what we see when we’re stuck.  And courage gets us over existential edges, leading with heart for what matters most.

With an awareness and deeper understanding of how change, conflict, conversation, choice and courage operate together in our relationship systems, we continually learn, grow and can create our own positive disruption for something better.

Your Toolkit for Sustainable Change

“…we find only the world we look for.”
— Henry David Thoreau

With the rate of change today, we’re continually challenged to make sense of things. Through your engagement with Quantum Leap Coaching you gain essential information and experience-honing skills that, with practice, become your sustainable process for overriding a fixed mindset and expanding the range of possibility.

This systemic lens brings:

  • Clarity about the parts of the relationship system
  • Understanding about how the parts work together and the roles they play
  • Agility in recognizing what’s not working and making adjustments in the moment
  • Purpose-driven vision to move through change

Other takeaways include:

  • A refreshed sense of relationship and why relationships matter in the moment
  • What being in right relationship looks and feels like
  • A focus and efficiency that flows from seeing relatedness, saving time and money, preserving energy, sparing heartache
  • A clearer picture of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as rank and privilege, and how these play into the shifting roles of leaders and innovators

And keep in mind:

  • What brings you to coaching isn’t always what really wants to change.
  • You can’t change what you can’t see or are reluctant to see. Building capacity to see what’s hidden in plain view, you open to what truly wants to change.
  • Conflict is a data source for change and can help you bridge divides and create alignment for something better.
  • Conversation moves you into right relationship. You experience how to have more skillful, productive conversations.
