What’s noticing? Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Tune into your surroundings. What do you sense? A sound, a blank slate? A breeze, a rustling, coffee brewing? A vibe. What’s in your awareness?  Anything new, different?  No judgement.

Now open your eyes. What did you find when you weren’t looking? You’re free to choose what you notice.

Why notice?  Benefits may include:

  • An opening, a relaxing with no strings attached
  • A heightened activation of your senses
  • A connection to a lived experience
  • New data or a deeper understanding
  • A curiosity, a musing, a wondering, a surprise
  • An insight, clarity, an aha, a discovery
  • A flash of creativity
  • Making sense of things in new ways, connecting dots
  • An invitation to see relatedness

Noticing can lead you from no sense to nonsense to something that now makes sense. That’s learning. It’s as if a voice within whispers, “I thought you’d never notice.” You may ask yourself if something has shifted, changed. That noticing can feel like a quantum leap.

Take note whether you feel like you’ve moved into a space of greater possibility.

Until further notice, you’re on notice to start noticing.  “Sweet dreams are made of this.”
